Acupuncture is an ancient Eastern system of healing by the insertion of very fine needles into special points on energy lines of the body, the meridians. Practitioners are trained in Oriental Medicine using pulse, body and tongue diagnosis to complement the case history. Treatment may also include moxibustion (the burning of a dried herb on the needle), acupressure massage and the prescription of herbal remedies.
